Poverty Simulation

CAn you make it through a month?!?!
For many Americans, the challenges represented in the Poverty Simlulation are a real-life daily struggle.  In 2017, 39.7 million people faced the reality of poverty in the United States.  To put that in perspective, that's more than the entire popluation of Canada.  Many of our neighbors face realities such as food insecurity, housing instability, homelessness, lack of realiable transportation, domestic violence, the inability to afford basic necessities, unemployment and underemployment.

The Poverty Simulation is an impactful and interactive experience in which participants begin to understand the realities of the working poor. Each participant takes on the role based on real family scenarios.  The goal is to make ends meet, feed your family, and maintain housing for one month.  Find out if you could survive.
