Pathways & Solutions—Tippecanoe County Substance Use and Disorder Symposium is a day-long conference organized to bring together community members and experts from across the state to educate, collaborate and create viable action plans to address substance use disorder in Greater Lafayette. This event will give participants the opportunity to become better educated on issues surrounding prevention, treatment, recovery and law enforcement. Jointly, they will have the opportunity to brainstorm and develop pathways to address substance use disorder in their local communities.

Keynote Speaker

Phil Valentine, Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery

Valentine, the current Executive Director for the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) will open the symposium by delivering a keystone on recovery oriented systems of care. He has been an important part of the Recovery Community Organization since 1999. He was recognized with an America Honors Recovery Award by the Johnson Institue in 2006. He was also name Non-Profit Executive of the Year by Hartford Business Journal in 2009. CCAR, the orgnaization he currently directs, was recognized in 2008 with the Joel Hernandez Voice of the the Recovery Community Award.  Read his complete bio here
